Fresh Start l Pepper & Peggy
Peggy had adjusted well enough to her new schedule. Martial Arts training gave her a sore but useful body. She was not out of shape to begin with, in the least, however this brought her to a difficult level of movements with a harsher purpose. The brunette had avoided turning in her uniform. It was a piece of her she did not want to give up but she knew she had to. Technically, it was hers to keep but some other poor girl with rare measurements might need it. It was in her gym bag waiting to be returned.
She owed it to Pepper to, at the very least, give a formal goodbye. Was Peggy a veteran? After reflecting, a smile was on her lips. She remembered when Pepper first auditioned and a majority of the squad could not deny her the position. It surprised her even more that the redhead helped her clear up chairs on the field. Now, Pepper was the captain and it was a little exciting seeing her grow as a cheerleader.
Pepper had the drive and love for cheer she did not and that was enough for Peggy to justify her decision in leaving. Besides, martial arts would benefit her more when she talked to a recruiter. It fit wonderfully. “Pepper,” She called out, stepping into the girls’ locker room. She was a bit early but Pepper’s responsibility was to be there first. A deep breath filled her lungs to relax herself. Exhale. Look around. “Are you here?” Her head peeped out from around the doorway corner.
